I am with wateen for more than a year because of no other choice. It is a highly unstable service. Occasionally , you will have few days of good service. But lately it has again been back to basics. which means slow speeds , prolonged downtimes,  no streaming at all. What fun in having an unlimited internet connection , when you have limitations written all over it.

It was a nationwide blackout of wateen today. I liked what you said "1mb wid unlimited pain in ur rear end. " May i rephrase it that wateen is a company that does not know the difference between managing an internet company and its rearhole.

i still got lame browsing. tube videos still load one second at a time...and websites will only open after tying again and again.

interesting thing is internet.wateen.net still isn't opening but internet is accessible...why're they messing with their systems anyway....

They'v screwed it up real big this time. Im currently posting this using edge..my 1mb unlimited connection went completely down an hour ago..no sign in to their website too. I can only open wateen.com, as if thats a very interesting place to be! The telephony past is down too.. Tho its giving me a dialtone which iz of course no good on its own...their helplines wont dial anymore as well..not even frm ufone.....bought this connection on 13th oct. Had high hopes for a while there....bt i think wateen lives up to its reputation  -> totally crap service. I mean, what sort of a company iz it..it cant even keep its helplines accessible! I guess 1mb unlimited really meant lyk 1mb wid unlimited pain in ur rear end. Sorry to say, thx for nuthing yateem!

ya same prob here with normal downloads as well as torrents i called em and told them the prob they said tat they are having some problems at there back end and everything will be OK in 1-2 dys

i dunno about rapid and hotfile but the way browsing and video streaming eg. youtube are working, its a pain in dat rear end!! It was fine when i got the connection in 2nd week of october. But now its really died down, even though downloads via torrent work absolutely fine MOST OF THE TIME. even http downloads hav most of the time slowed down to 12-25 KBps....thats not what i signed up for!!!

Wateenay.... i want my 1mbit....!

Yes, I'm facing the exact same issue when I download as a free user. But I believe it has more to do with Rapidshare, Hotfile, etc. restricting the bandwidth rather than Wateen's speed being slow. When I downloaded with a premium Rapidshare account, my speeds were good, even during the day.
