So what kind of channels does IPTV offer? Are they the same as on our cable networks or can we get anything interesting like perhaps ABC, etc.

800 + unreliable telephone lines... atleast for Karachi. Thank goodness Pindi/Isb doesn't face that issue as such... and with massive prominence.

Rs. 800 is acceptable if quality is same as DVD and they offer some good American series and Sports channels (America Plus, Series,Super Sports, etc). And just like WorldCall's Crap Cable, channel list is dominated by News Channels (almost 20). Do Pakistanis really spend that much time on news ?

if ur lookin for entertainment in english then u can fget abt it. THey have no bbc food , no bbc prime, no comedy channel , no history channel,not a single worth looking at channel cept star plus. No SS1 2 or 3, i am stuck with eveer so annoying hindi commentry on epsn euro 2008 with guys who know jack sh*t abt football and have squeky voices. I dont know why... there are a dozen useless channels like royal news, din news ,metro news,waqt, channel 5, indus news, star asia news, dhoom, udham, vibe, g. to name a few..these channels cant even get their own live feed and cut feed in from geo, ptv or ary... all i am asking for is bbc prime / food and the comedy channel

devnull if that is the case then i am never getting it. without SS and bbc channels nothing would be the same.

@Joker, Dont know man, i called 080080800, just to get an update. The guy was also offering me the IPTV demo account as i have 1MB connection.

and i almost fgot .. no english music channels. they have freakin music channels in Arabic ... in **** chinese... useless pakistani music channels like vibe, G etc couple of indian mtv , V and another indian music chan i cant rem.. but no mtv, Vh1 , V or orbit
