yes unlimited download seriously at least i download 3 movies a day plus some software frm rapidshare and seriously man and i bought this one the very second day when it was launched in pakistan and till now i didnt paid a single penny to then and just they hav taken three time 1350Rs frm ma account so they hav charged me for three months and till now iam suin it for free and i hav refunded that first account now i hav takken a new jupiter with 256 kbps 4 gb download coz iam usin my old id....

oh i now understand it... even if wateen allows you to use same ID on two CPEs they don't get affected because they have capped packages so they are in profit

I am using ptcl for a few days now. And I would not load card in wateen and start using it even if they offer unlimited package RIGHT NOW.. I am happy..Getting regular download speeds of 180-200 on torrents. And 200K/s+on good websites. I am using 2mb package with unlimited download..

Ok, here is a new one from wateen. I bought bundle package "unlimited green something" when wateen launched its services in Lahore. Deal at that time was I signed and handed over post dated cheques for the amount of 1350 for 12 months. Around July-August, I was informed that all the postpaid accounts are now changed to prepaid ones and all PDCs will be returned (minus those cheques which were already deposited by them). That 1350 included CPE rent, telephony line rent and 512KB-10GB limit. I was told kay i will only need to recharge my account for the amount of 1350 as usual. This month my rechargeable amount went to 1608 meaning i had to recharge my account for 1608 rs to keep it activated. I called their the so called helpline and guess what i was informed, net only wimax services are not available, one has to  pay line rent for telephony as this service is mandatory in all packages even though you are not using it at all. Minimum line rent option is 90 Rs per month which you can only change by going to franchise exactly one day before your billing cycle start. In my opinion its just pure fraud on wateen's part. Another low for wateen.

As long as i remember Wateen did not sell 1mb postpaid connection but only 512K postpaid. but when they introduced prepaid connections they started 1mb connection.

Not OK.....

look at the download speed in your image.
that must match at approximate level to your 1.Mbps(1024.Kbps) link.

upload is fine as 1/4 of the 1Mbps

I recommend not to use speedtest.wateen.net while it tests your speed with the local servers at wateen.

try speedtest.net or speed.io

Some news. I visited the franchise today and someone told me that since WiTribe is being launched after Eid, Wateen might introduce unlimited packages in the wake of that competition.

heya all, would thing be possible that because of nationality they didnt closed ma postpaid id coz i was having omani passport and before 7 years  my dad got emaratiy (uae) passport so do we and iam form abu dhabi.:D:D
