Re: PTCL Wireless Broadband

Still the same, signals at 70% and speed:

I just wish and pray that its a temporary fault or network upgrade, and that PTCL knows this. Otherwise I don't think there is anyone else than me in my area to report the EVDO problem to get it fixed.

@ Ahsan:
Did that manager mention Islampura's BTS too or just Asif Block?

That has to be one of the most funniest things said on this forum.

@ Ahsan
I assume you were sarcastically agreeing with that, as the speed and signal problem is still there. It has been straight two days now.

No signals in iqbal town area,i have checked at many places, only signals i got is when i reached shadman area. and that was only 60-70% and not connecting properly. Have tried calling 1218 and went to OSS in civic centre -Burkat market, they have no information and also said to call 1218. So basically back to waiting for it to correct itself as and when it does.

Re: PTCL Wireless Broadband

EVDO signals gone completely here as well. And CDMA is not even crossing 2K big_smile. But this gives me a little hope that "SOMETHING" is happening on the network, and it might get fixed soon. Fingers crossed.

Re: PTCL Wireless Broadband

^ That will only prove the pathetic nature of PTCL then, won't it?.

And PTCL is not the last company in Pakistan to offer wireless service  for that matter.

Re: PTCL Wireless Broadband

Evdo signals are back. But are still fluctuating between 50-95%, and consequently speed is not stable either, and pings are increased too, but hopefully it'll get back up properly soon.

@30pip:
Have you got your EVDO signals back?

Re: PTCL Wireless Broadband

no, just checked again at home, still 0%. I might be too far from BTS to even get low signals, im getting consistent above 95% on CDMA mode,so its EVDO only.

Re: PTCL Wireless Broadband

^ Then I guess it will be fixed at the same time when my signals problem will be fixed. But it will be surprising as that would mean I was getting my primary signals from the same BTS as yours. What did the help line officers said?

By the way, I just lost the EVDO signals again. And sometimes even when they come back, I get 678 error, sometimes it gets connected.

Huawei has sabotaged by blocking EvDo carrier for some 70 EvDo sites in Lahore since Saturday without any prior intimation. Numerous phone calls to Huawei BSS person (Naveed) have gone un-attended. PTCL BSC staff tried to un-block the sites without any success. This is for your information pls.

PL wait matter will be resolved.

Re: PTCL Wireless Broadband

^ At least it is nice to see your professional side for the first time, by admitting that there is a problem instead of mocking your customers by calling them Monkey or poor, or saying that they are blocked. That doesn't bring good to anyone.

But as Ruhaan said, it is surprising and worrying that PTCL EVDO's control is in the hands one guy from Huawei, with no check and balance on top of him, not even so much to get him fix what he did in three days.

Looking forward to seeing the service return to normal tomorrow, as there are 0 EVDO signals at the moment.

Re: PTCL Wireless Broadband

They are not supposed to interfere in PTCL task but they have done A WRONG act and management has called Huawei explanation.
Its not in hand of one guy of Huawei but their contract is over so they have done a wrong act.
Kindly lauch your complaint on your respective OSS emails as available on site at www.ptcl.com.pk

Re: PTCL Wireless Broadband

^ That is indeed a stupid act from Huawei. And their contract is over in the sense of installing EVDO network? Aren't they still responsible for maintenance and repairs in case need arises?
