i also have this modem
but my friend one thind i tell you that this is not recommanded to update the firmware of your modem........
becos ptcl have a zero tolerance pilicy against this
it mean if you update your modem firmware after that if ur net didnot work fine then PTCL not gonna support you........
and also keep in mind that the firmware of modems is auto update by PTCL mangement......... anytime they want...... if its needed then they update it......
there is a management option in ur modem which is actively monitor by PTCL management remotely.......
they use this when they upgrade the bandwidth....... or make some other changes
