Perfect conditions for Smart TV. I suggest you go for it if its available on ONU lines. You wont regret it....unless you have more than one tv at home.

PTCL Smart Complaints:
1. 19-Oct-09 03:21AM Complain # 003
2. 19-Oct-09 22:48PM Complain # 170
3. 30-Oct-09 12:45AM Complain # 001

Above are my complaints at 1218 PTCL and still waiting.... They are worst in customer support and best in charging you in monthly bill. SO BETTER BE CAREFULL.

Inshallah, tomorrow I WILL GET-RID-OFF PTCL Smart Fraud.

Re: PTCL IPTV (Project)

I don't if I make sense but I'm on 1MB package of PTCL along with I got IPTV ( smart tv ). As we all know we got 4 ethernet ports on our router ( 3 for internet and 1 for IPTV). I've heard that IPTV is kinda using around 3MB of downstream or something ? Is that true and if its true then is it possible to use internet on the IPTV port with 3MB downlink ? I know its kinda illegal but I'm just curious =P

Thanks geeks regards smile

Re: PTCL IPTV (Project)

Just one quick question, can I use PTCL smart TV on both the TVs in my home for the same price?

And has anyone used the bundled package of TV, 1MB internet and telephone together...is it decent service?

goto port mapping option in HUAWEI router and then move the LAN port in which your ethernet cable is plugged to Grouped interfaces also move the IPTV LAN port to Available interfaces save/reboot. Next download wireshark which is a freeware and capture interfaces ...select your ethernet adapter and click start.....from there u'll c a dest ip and dst port with UDP protocol copy that ip open vlc player then click on Open Network choose UDP and write down the IP which u copied and also the port then click Play...and  bingo

if u also want to use internet at the same time then move the bridging mode of IPTV to Available interfaces alongwith its LAN port and place one LAN port which is not in use in Grouped interfaces save/reboot. This can be done in port mapping.

I removed the iptv from lan4 plugged the ethernet wire...

There are limitations in any type of Digital TV services. You need a receiver/decoder to watch channels and it can only be used with one TV at a time. So don't expect it from any provider.
