WORLDCALL cablebroadband speed reduced

Well upgraded my package from 128kbps to 256kbps which should have given speed of 512kbps(summer offer) i was getting speed of 256kbps however as soon as i upgraded my speed went down to 200kbps .... contacted there helpline and after long wait i have been told that extra speeds have been taken back (summer bonanza offer)..... Thats so strange cause their sales team sold me 256kbps package telling me i will get 512 kbps today visited their office in DHA and they said summer bonanza is still valid ...according to their computer i have been given speed of 192kbps ..........they were them selves confused  and said similar came to them before me..... i was wondering if any one else has noted the same ............

Re: WORLDCALL cablebroadband speed reduced

They are idiots now they are telling me that the speed that will be given is 256+128=384     for 128 package speed will be 128+64=192

Their sales team have no information about this they have decreased speed with out telling me customer so typical ......will just ask them for refund

Re: WORLDCALL cablebroadband speed reduced

That explains why I was getting low speeds for last 1 week. I did not bother writing about it as worldcall always has one problem after another. No use complaining either as their techies are so full of sh*t.

Above is the bandwidth I am getting at 256 KBps summer bonanza offer (128 KBps package). Worse than dial-up isn't it.

Do you know what I find common about this forum and the internet in general (in Pakistan). They are both DEAD!!!... or at least that is how it seems.

Does any one even care to write these days.

Re: WORLDCALL cablebroadband speed reduced

same here. I'm paying Rs.1300/mo. and was getting 1Mb till a week ago. Now its around 600-700kbps. sucks!
I'm not paying them for this month and if they continue to give slow speeds then they can take their bloody modem back. I'm switching back to PTCL.

Same speed reduction here. Its 750kbps upload and download. Problem with PTCL is horrible upload speed policy.

Re: WORLDCALL cablebroadband speed reduced

Strangely this month's billing notification still indicates that Summer Bonanza offer is LIVE and VALID. On learning this, I went ahead even contrary to my own principle, and bothered myself to the great extent of calling their help-line.

Staying true to their tradition however, the buffoon (who ironically prides himself for a technical staff) had nothing to advise; but only after a great deal of brain storming, concluded that my (perception) of reduced bandwidth is an undoubted proof of my computer being infested with viruses (ROFLLLL)

P.S. I missed hearing the rest of his sage advice, as I almost killed myself laughing.
