the ip address is same for requests over port 80 but for other ports we have an individual ip address

but it sucks coz all the requests that go to port 80 aka HTTP are forwarded to wateens cache/proxy servers so thats why we have same ip address when we check online

Wateen install the Jupiter where the signals are very weak ... this is fixed device you can't handle it like CPE. no portability. they install and fix the Jupiter at Roof top of your building..  jupiter is more powerfull then CPEi.. no signal droping.. and fast communication..

all prices are the same other then installation .. they charge Rs. 5000/- for Jupiter.. rest is same

=== How To Change Motorola WiMAX CPEi 600's Username/Password ===
================================================

Aslam-o-Alaiqum,

As I had promised, I shall post step-by-step guide to get most out of Wateen WiMAX. In this post, I shall try to explain how to change your WiMAX CPEi 600 username password. Please note that it is not your Wateen username password. It's your CPE's username password. I shall highly recommend every Wateen WiMAX user to protect their CPE so that nobody can restart or cripple their CPE device from remote.

I am posting a woman's image as a first image that is because we pakistani give more attentions to photos especially if it's a woman's photo. I can bet that many user will change their CPE's password by viewing this post rather than by reading my previous lengthy post. I hope moderators will tolerate this first smile

=== How To Enable UPnP in Motorola WiMAX CPEi 600 and Windows XP ===
=================================================

Dear Fellow Country Men Who Chooses to Use Wateen WiMAX,

If you are still not using UPnP then start using it by following steps mentioned below. If you are using any old software that do not know how to communicate with UPnP then get newer version because many new software knows how to communicate with UPnP server. As far as I know since MSN Messenger 4, it started support for UPnP. Moreover, many latest torrent clients have support for UPnP. Using UPnP will hopefully solve most of your Port Forwarding problems as UPnP framework does it automatically for you.

These following steps are for Windows XP SP2 (but it may be applicable to Windows XP and later versions).

Before you begin get your CD/DVD of your Windows. Keep it handy because you may need it (especially if you are using Windows XP SP2 and have never turn-on UPnP).

Steps to turn on UPnP in Motorola CPE 600:
1104159-holder-bd1f820df4621651f688f2863e743d92.jpg

Steps to install UPnP and IGD services in Windows XP SP2:
1104211-holder-672ff2db446eb4fb5b06502b576450e3.jpg

Steps to turn on UPnP detection service in Windows XP SP2 (also create necessary holes in Windows' firewall):
1104161-holder-5d820f231976cce8eb650695e835575b.jpg

Confirm that your IGD (Internet Gateway Device), your Motorola CPE 600's Router is detected by Windows XP and Windows can communicate with it:
1104160-holder-d180bfd48bfe6179d048cedac94bc22c.jpg

After doing these steps you may notice some balloon popup messages as Windows discover new devices. If you don't see IGD then wait for a minute or so, if still not then restart your Windows.

I am hopeful that by following these steps you'll be able to start using UPnP service and almost all headaches of Port forwarding will be thing of past. Using Windows Live Messenger, you should be able to send/receive files and Audio chat.

Share knowledge with others.

I am posting these solutions under GPL license.

Fe-Aman Allah.

====================================================
=== How to Enable DMZ (All Ports Forwarding) in Motorola WiMAX CPEi 600 ===
====================================================

To Users Who are Crazy/Brave Enough to Jump From a Plane with Altitude of 10,000 Without a Parachute,

If you are using an old software (torrent client, strange old messenger, old game) that does not support UPnP and you do not want to get into struggles with manual Port Forwarding or you are frown upon Wateen for using multiple layers of NAT and not attaching your PC directly to Internet then DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) may be the solution for you. I created this solution by this thing in my mind as you have only one computer attached to CPE.

!!! ATTENTION !!! PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU SHOULD BE FULLY AWARE OF USING DMZ. I SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS. YOU SHOULD BE SOLE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT. YOU MUST KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. ENABLE WHATEVER SECURITY YOU HAVE TO PROTECT YOUR WINDOWS FROM HARSH WORLD OF INTERNET. ON AVERAGE, IT TAKE ONLY 20 MINUTES FOR A BARE WINDOWS TO GET INFECTED FROM INTERNET. YOU WON'T EVEN KNOW IT AND NEITHER ANYTHING WILL BLINK NOR ANY MESSAGES WHEN YOU'LL GET HIT BY DoS ATTACK smile

First of all, turn off hardware Firewall in your Motorola CPE (you want all incoming traffic to come to your computer as-is, especially for your torrent client):
1104373-holder-0667aadfda5301d1f08b65155feb7957.jpg

Allow incoming pings to your computer (allow others on internet to confirm your existence):
1104376-holder-48b9bde94a4c4ebd58a25b8f35e8ad97.jpg

Put your computer into DMZ:
1104378-holder-fe191040d9c86c5213b870bfde6b8640.jpg

The concept of DMZ in networking is completely different than usage here to get all traffic from internet. But for torrent, people can go up to any step they can to achieve freedom even endangering themselves smile

If you can't see your computer's LAN IP Address (by default in the range of 192.168.15.x) then you may need to assign a static IP address using "LAN Clients". Assign a static IP address to your computer's Network Card's MAC Address.

I have not tested DMZ and its performance. If any problem occurs then you'll be on your own. I don't know whether DMZ will work properly in multiple layers of LAN/WAN. If DMZ works for you then play a Heavy Metal song in background and give an attitude of "who cares" big_smile

Fe-Aman Allah.

I confirm that too, IP addresses are same for HTTP and HTTPS. Looks like, finally, Wateen turned off their infamous Cache Server. Thank you Wateen.

Now lower your rates too, to compete with LinkDotNet and PTCL big_smile
