Dear, I started this discussion after Naveed Qamar Statement but on the next day, load-shedding again started as per previous schedule. Electricity be off for 4 to 5 hours continuously daily every one or two hours in my village. Imagine, if you are in such country there country ministers tell lie day and night, if you were in another country, such ministers be resigned for such open lie.

There has been a significant reduction in load shedding.

Dear they do less power load shedding in Rawalpindi and Islamabad,
When it is in other areas about 18 Hours, then in Islamabad it is about 3 to 4 Hours. This is formula of WAPDA because they think if we do load shedding in big cities like small towns, the media and people shall take this matter immediately but in village and town they do not think ,ENKI HAMAIN PARWAH NAHIN"

Is it true that they do 'load shedding' for only one hour in Islamabad? If it is true, then how is it a 'type' of load shedding? Because rest of the country suffers from 8-19 hours of consistent load shedding everyday.

I said significant reduction, not elimination, so Naveed Qamar was lying after all.

When there is load shedding, it can be 1/1.5/2hrs of loadshedding in every 3 hours - all day long, the duration depending on how severe the 'supposed' shortage is.

@zed2: How long have you lived in Islamabad? Are you privy to some documents which mention such farce relating specifically to Islamabad? If so, post the pictures/scans here. The general comparison of load shedding between the major cities (all provinces) and villages might very well be true considering various media reports.

The only places in Islamabad where light does not go are the residences of 'elected officials'. If one has got a home near or adjacent to one of these places, there is no or very little load shedding. Rest of the population in Islamabad suffers just like the other major cities of Pakistan. It might be a bit less at times in comparison when the shortage is low, but it is enough to disrupt life for all. That is a very clear indicator of the disconnect between the rulers and the ruled.
