What a shame. People complaining about local channels with an aim to get them banned. Why not use your remote control for a change and flip to Star Plus, SAB or Sony TV and watch the softcore bollywood action that you're so impressed by and would go to any lengths to watch, even if it means installing an indian dth service.

if this was to be true then Samma would have had the highest viewership/rankings...complaint list shouldn't be having its name at all.

^No yet its true if you look at top 10 channels those are the most Indian soft-core content broadcasters in day and prime times whether it is munni promo or shila's jawani they hightailing in headlines ...so in this scenario i thought samma go complete nude at midnight & maybe those complaints are in favor not against

WOW!!! What was the complaint? "Dear PEMRA, The Discovery channel is just too scientific. Please block and ban this un-***amic channel as it is brainwashing our youth." ??

@Armada but that would be illegal and unacceptable. Only "semi" and "almost" n*de girls are allowed on our TV channels at prime time when everyone wants to watch the news bulletin, i.e. 98.9% n*dity. Any more and it's wrong. Any less and it's not good enough for the public.

These complaints clearly prove this fact that vulgarity has no clear definition and differs among people of different mindsets. Some people find nudity & vulgarity if a newscaster is not wearing dupatta and for some, showing cartoons involving pigs on Nicklodean is "un-Islamic"
