Hi Friends;

A local company name "Systek" design UPSs. If anyone used their UPS, please share his experience. I am looking for a cost effective UPS which output should be "Near to Signwave" but such kind of UPS doesnt have a higher ampacity battery charger. Most of the time a built in 6-8A charger only but we need 12-15A charger to charge a C10 rating flooded lead acid battery 125-175AH.

We purchased Excelsior Classic series for our office but our experience was not good. Computers used to get restarted on power failures. That was the only purpose of them for which they were bought as building was on Generator supply. Multiple visit by their service reps did not resolve the issue.

For commercial and official purposes, two companies make best UPS and Inverters. These are APC and CyberPower.

Does APC make line-interactive UPS without battery? that must be cheaper than the on-line ones which include the battery as well.

No, they do not. But these can be re-engineered to connect external batteries without hassle.
Here are few alternative to generators pure sine wave inverters. These are expensive but worth the money. http://www.cyberpowe...ssories/eps.htm

I have two of these, one bought for Rs. 8500 and other for Rs 7500.

Battery charging claims are not true, but it is a reliable equipment. Didn't check the transfer time though, may be recent models got improved.

@Ijaz Ahmad

In case of heavy 1 hours sucessive load-shedding do you recommend Aurora UPS (having 10Amp charger) coupled with an external constant voltage charger or JUST a mercury UPS with built-in 20Amp charger?

It depends on the load which you use during load shedding. In case you have 2-3. fans running during load shedding, every thing would fail. Because for successful operation, the energy drawn from the battery should be less than energy stored in battery during charging cycle.
