Google’s planned online cloud storage service will provide users with 5GB of free online storage according to leaked screenshots.

The screenshots posted by TalkAndroid show the download page for DropBox competitor “Google Drive”, which offers 5GB of free online storage rather than the previously rumoured 1GB.

The images also suggest that information stored in the cloud can be accessed via computers, as well as smartphones and tablets running the Android operating system.

Google is expected to release Google Drive between 16 and 20 April

- MANTARI MZC (so called award winning tech blogger and vishnu of akash 2) you are 100% wrong it ain't got nothing to do with location.

- You can't sign in directly first time from google drive software.

- first sign into your gmail account then click on documents in documents there would be option to upgrade to 5 gigbyte google drive click on it accept the EULA and walla your documents space is raised to 5 gig from old 1 gig and you are ready to use it, download the sync program for your OS and then sign in and it will go through.

- as i said before it has nothing to do with the location you just need to accept the EULA to upgrade through browser interface for the first time use only. and you are all set.

My hotmail account is more than 10 years old, so yes, I got the upgrade to 25 GB for free from Microsoft :P

Waiting for google drive, I'd most certainly be using it to sync files on my android :)
