Guys this vpn is very slow - tried it on an ipad, youtube is extremely slow.

I've tried all sorts of proxies, but ptcl is now even detecting youtube through them !

^yep it's slow, but better then nothing . or try some open proxies, but those are also slow .

Do I have to exit my already running torrent client before I can browse? Or open or close something else before I start?

Nope nothing, it works just make this dialup and connect it ,it needs one time confirmation when you start browser and then it works like a charm..you don't have to close anything..
the one who are saying that its danegrous and stuff..guys we use to for youtube and for few other blocked sites & secondly i haven't faced any probs..use it man till it last.If you're so much then stop using it,ptcl has already banned these in 2009

Working in android

how u did it ?
i have android froyo .. in wireless --> vpn --> add vpn ..> pptp --> filled as shown as above .. then i clicked on the newly added vpn and clicked connect .. it then connected .. then i fired up the youtube app but it is not connecting .. just the wheel and a blank white page and a circle rotates.

^fire up your browser first. it needs a confirmation in start.

youtube is not working with it sometimes.

An alternate and easier method is to download and install Spotflux from http://www.spotflux.com/. Enable it to browse youtube.

This vpn isn't opening up the youtube... it can be used for blocked sites but it has gone slow.
