Torrent downloading problem

Just wanted to know if the torrents are being downloaded normally these days on ptcl wired dsl (student 1mb). I am well aware of seeders and leechers thing so i download all the torrents very carefully keeping in mind about the seed and leech thing but these days very few torrents are able to be downloaded and on very slow speed most of the time like 1-10kbps no matter if seeders are 4k and leechers are just 500 only but they arent downloading at all. I am just confused with this because speedtest.net is showing me full download speeds and other downloads from different mirrors are well downloading at good speed.

Did you open your ports for your torrent client? And make the correct settings?

Nope. I have ZTE ZXDSL 831 series modem (Blue) which has all the ports opened automaticaly and secondly I am downloading torrents since 2009 on the same modem. This problem is just 2-3 weeks old.

Is anybody else facing the same problem??

^Settings are OK. Have you tried diabling the firewall and anti-virus?

OR

Try resetting the modem.

OR

Try some other bitTorrent software to check difference.

And complain it to 1218 if problem isn't resolved.

Are you sure these stats are right for 1 mb? Because before I used to get around 1024 in downstream rate :-/

Change the Encryption from "Disabled" to "Enabled".

And forward your port manually.

But if I think that's the problem the first option should fix it, cuz I assume PTCL is throttling torrents.

From personal experience.
